Unilevel MLM Plan

The primary feature of a unilevel compensation plan is the payment of a level commission to all qualifying distributors. All distributors are paid the same percentage of commission on their downline sales. With this plan, everyone is a distributor regardless of performance. There are no ranks. The plan uses only one commission type, the level commission.

As the name suggests, you are able to only sponsor one line of distributors. This means that everyone you sponsor is one of your frontline distributors. Unlike a Matrix Compensation plan, there is no width restriction to the number of frontline distributors you can have when working a Unilevel Compensation plan. Commissions are paid out on a limited depth of distributors within your organization. From the many plans that were reviewed, the commissions were usually paid on 5 to 7 levels deep. Thus the main goal in a Unilevel Compensation plan it sponsor large numbers or frontline distributors and then encourages them to do the same.

Generally the percentage is 5% of downline sales volume. With this plan, you can build as wide as you want. It has limited depth though. The depth of the levels varies from company to company, and can be anything from four levels deep.

This limitation in depth encourages distributors to build wide. The disadvantage of building too wide is that support to new recruits thins out more quickly as sponsors divert their focus to new recruits. So if you are not a go-getter type of person, joining a company using the unilevel plan may be to your disadvantage.

For current Network Marketing companies that are employing the Unilevel Compensation plan, they have made changes and modifications to the pay scales to make it more attractive to new members and promote teamwork.

Many of the modern day Unilevel Compensation plans include a number of bonuses as well as rank advancements to increase the amount of money a distributor is earning.
